Pedal for Nature | World Wildlife Day 2026 Cycle Rally

01 March 2026

Some mornings just stay with you. March 1st was one of them.

We rolled out with cycles, a cause, and a whole lot of heart — and “Pedal for Nature” wasn’t just a tagline. It was the feeling in every push of the pedal, every gulp of fresh morning air, every grin exchanged on the road from Palasia to Rajwada.

This year’s World Wildlife Day theme — “Medicinal and Aromatic Plants: Conserving Health, Heritage and Livelihoods” — gave our ride a deeper pulse. We weren’t just cycling. We were moving for the forests, for the forgotten herbs, for the healers and farmers who depend on nature’s quiet generosity. Heavy stuff? Yes. But somehow it felt light on two wheels.

Seeing kids pedal alongside adults — equally lit up, equally breathless, equally not stopping — that sight alone made everything worth it. Pure, unfiltered energy.

The mid-ride zoo stop was quietly powerful. The closest most of us get to the wild in the heart of the city — a reminder of why we do what we do.

And reaching Rajwada? That felt extra special. Garlanding Maharani Ahilya Devi — the pride of Malwa — was a small but meaningful tribute to a queen whose legacy still guides this city and its spirit.

A heartfelt thank you to Anil Nagar Sir and the entire WNC family for making it feel like exactly that — family.

Oh, and the finale? Hot jalebis. Steaming poha. Conversations that wandered everywhere under the shadow of Rajwada.

You come for nature. You leave with people. 🌿🚴
